As a full service design firm, we routinely provide all necessary construction documentation, coordinate the work of any required consultants and assist our clients in obtaining and analyzing bids from contractors or builders, as well as providing overall project management services. Specialized services include project feasibility studies, lighting and kitchen design, custom furniture and millwork design, art selection, and assistance in obtaining building permits and green building certification.
Our "Sister" Firm
Smith + Morton Architecture (S+MA) is a joint venture formed by Laurie Smith and Neel Morton which focuses on healthcare, institutional and private sector projects as well as new single family home design. The joint venture partners have both designed numerous residential projects and have worked on multiple projects for entities such as the City of Austin, the Lower Colorado River Authority, the University of Texas, Austin Regional Clinic and the Seton Healthcare Network. In addition to the range of services offered by LSDA, S+MA can also provide architectural services for larger projects, feasibility studies for new residences or commercial buildings, site planning, renderings and 3-D computer modeling. Both firms typically coordinate the work of engineers and other specialized consultants on our projects and we are happy to provide recommendations for any consultants, contractors, builders or artisans that would be appropriate for your project.
